A chicken for Limner

6 comments:

  1. We need strong brave chicken like this in our country, these days, to fight against the injustice caused by the fipronil scandal.

However, I see this chicken needs some braveness anyway, to keep away from his/her destination (a casserole)..

    Great envelope anyway!

    1. I offer sanctuary to all poultry. There are no chickens eaten here. :) We eat eggs though. :( :)

Had to Google the fipronil scandal. How sad for everyone involved.

  3. So sorry to hear about the bad situation for chickens in the Netherlands these days.

I guarantee no chickens were harmed in the making of this mail art.

    1. Those chickens have not been consigned to archived darkness yet. :) I almost took the envelope apart because I wanted to see if any chickens had been sacrificed to those perfect black chickens.

I broke my own rule and bought another stamp today. I rooster. :) Well, there are two; the other includes a cow and a pig. They were 40 percent off today.

The nagging suspicion that I've seen those chickens in a magazine just won't go away. I cannot seem to find it. Are they from Juxtapoz? Fructose? Thanks for letting me have them. :D

I could have sworn I included them in a post! My memory plays hide and seek with me some days though. .

    2. The chickens were in an issue of Lucky Peach magazine, where the whole issue was dedicated to all things chicken.
